Linfield University is proud to partner with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, the world-wide leader in beverage education and certification, to offer courses to our friends in The Gorge @ Best Western Plus Hood River Inn!
Level 1 is a perfect starting point for anyone currently in, or pursuing, a career in the wine or hospitality industry. Also ideal for wine enthusiasts looking to grasp the fundamentals, make informed choices and drink better wine. You will explore the principle red and white grape varieties, learn to taste wines using a systematic approach and discover the basics of wine and food pairing.
The Weekend Intensive format meets Saturdays, 9am-4pm with a one-hour lunch break.
Everything you need to know to pass the exam and earn a globally recognized certification is presented in class. No homework, no late-night cramming – Give us a day and we’ll give you the World (of Wine)!
