Travel Journaling

In this class, we’ll explore various ways to visually document your travel experiences in a sketchbook journal. Students are encouraged to bring mementos from recent trips—photos, tickets, receipts, or paper souvenirs.
We’ll capture the essence of your journey through quick sketches, selecting key moments and scenes. Using a limited palette of 3-6 contrasting markers or colored pencils, we’ll show how even a few colors can create dynamic, cohesive compositions. We’ll also incorporate adhesives and ephemera like ticket stubs, fun washi tape and receipts to add texture and authenticity. Embracing a nonlinear approach, we’ll use creative prompts to inspire fresh ways to document your travels—whether it’s nature, fashion, food, or landscapes.
By the end, students will have a collection of ideas and techniques for continuing this fun practice during to record next travel adventure, visually.
Students are encouraged to bring a sketchbook, plus, paper mementos from a recent trip to use during the class for incorporate collage into their sketchbook

If you cannot attend a class, a 72 hour notice prior to the start of the class via email or phone is required for a full refund of the class fee. After that there is no refund.
