The Art of Active Recovery with Yoga Tune-Up Balls

May 4 @ 1:00 pm

This workshop is designed to teach you how to unwind tension and restore mobility through gentle movement and self-myofascial release techniques, a form of self-massage. Jessica will guide you through a whole-body tune up utilizing Yoga Tune Up balls. These massage therapy balls are made of a dense natural latex rubber, and can be used to target specific trigger points and high tension areas in your body by gripping and grabbing your skin, fascia, and multiple layers of muscles for deep relief. We will be focusing on common tension points in the modern human body so you can leave this workshop knowing how to better prevent injury, reduce pain, and improve performance in your daily life.

The slow nature of this work is deeply nourishing for the nervous system, while the practice of therapeutic release with the Yoga Tune Up balls will support a feeling of ease in the body by improving circulation and stimulating the lymphatic system. This is a great workshop for those seeking an accessible self-care tool to cultivate greater awareness of your body, alleviate chronic pain, and optimize total well-being.

About the instructor:

Jessica is passionate about sharing her knowledge of this unique movement modality with others. She received her initial training in the Roll Model® Method in 2018, and has continued to nerd out about fascia ever since. With her extensive training as a professional dancer, and a decade of experience teaching yoga and functional movement, Jessica brings an embodied wisdom to facilitating holistic movement education.
