In “Unyielding,” Kat invites viewers to reflect on the transformative power of art and the journey of self-exploration. Her artist statement resonates throughout the exhibit: “The pieces represented in ‘Unyielding’ are influenced by the idea of women listening to their inner voice, stepping out of their comfort zones to gain growth and power, and discovering their imagination that has been beat down by ‘growing up.’” This theme is vividly illustrated through mixed media installations that juxtapose delicate botanicals with bold geometric patterns, symbolizing the balance between fragility and strength.
