Oil Painting Workshop

This class taught by Portland based fine artist Stacy Kamin is geared towards beginners wanting to learn the fundamentals of painting, all the way up to experienced painters who want to improve their clarity, and progress further with these fundamentals.
We will be learning how to paint with oils. This will consist of how to mix color, how to make beautiful brushstrokes, how to paint form, while learning about value and temperature. Over the two days, we will paint various studies of simple still life.
*Students have the option to purchase the class with materials provided for an extra $30 or come to the class with their own materials and a list of materials is available below.

Cost: $200 +$30 optional materials fee

If you cannot attend this class, a week notice prior to the start of the class via email or phone is required for a full refund of the class fee. After that there is no refund.

Bristle Brushes in Filberts sizes 3, 5 and 8
2x stretched canvas or canvas board in size 9×12

Palette for mixing paint
