Mt. Hood Railroad Speeder (Motorcar) Run
October 9 @ 7:00 am
This is your opportunity to run your Speeder (Motorcar) on the Mount Hood Railroad, from Hood River to Parkdale, Oregon and return. Approximately 42-miles round trip, with a 1,500 foot elevation gain. This mountain railroad features some very steep grades (up to 3.5%) and a switchback. It is the only operating freight railroad in the US with a switchback. The Hood River valley should be changing colors with the onset of Fall, along with the last of the Pears being picked in the upper valley. Usually a beautiful time of year.
This excursion is open to all NARCOA licensed and insured operators with NARCOA compliant motorcars. Sorry no public rides.
