Hood River Challenge

September 15 @ 6:00 pm

A breathtaking, and challenging swim in the Columbia River Gorge. Known for windy conditions, this area is beloved by kite boarders. Swimmers seek calm winds and outgoing tides, but don’t always get them. This can be a rough swim, if the water and wind are going in different directions. The is a point-to-point swim from Mosier to Hood River, approximately 6 miles. This is a long swim, for experienced swimmers. There are a few spots to rest along the route, but no easy exits. Start time will vary based on the tide, wind, and chop. It will probably be earlier than our usual 8 am and will be TBD.
