Hawkins Winter Wine School #3 – Que Syrah Syrah!
March 22 @ 1:00 pm
No transcripts or prerequisites required—just bring your curiosity and a love of great wine!
We’re thrilled to launch our Winter Wine School—your ticket to discovering the world of wine in an approachable, engaging setting.
Each class offers a guided exploration of a specific wine region or style, showcasing what makes it unique and how it inspires the wines we create at Hawkins. Led by our certified wine geeks, you’ll gain insights into how our wines compare to some of the world’s most renowned offerings.
March 22nd – Que Syrah Syra
Syrah is one of the most widely planted grapes in the world, and often one of the most misunderstood. Will it be peppery and fresh? Jammy and dark? Or somewhere in between? We produce Syrah from 3 unique sites in Eastern Washington and love how different they are. This class will lead us through wines from South Africa, France, Australia, and taste them next to our own Hawkins Cellars Syrah bottlings. Join us in this exploration of Syrah!
Cost – $60 per person, $40 for Club Cuvée Members, discount taken at checkout.
Class will be approximately 2 hours long and will include small bites to pair with the wines. The Class will be held in our winery barrel room, which can be drafty, so please bring warm clothing. As these classes will be geared towards education, we are limiting guests to only those of a drinking age, no minors & no pets.
What’s Included?
- Small bites to complement the wines
- A flight of 6 to 8 wines from around the world, next to their Hawkins’ counterpart
- A voucher for a discounted bottle purchase the day of the class
Cancellation Policy: Since this is a limited-space event, we kindly ask for a 48 hour cancellation notice in order to receive a full refund. This allows us the best chance of selling the extra tickets so we do not lose out on having a full class. Thank you in advance.
