Kyle’s latest album, “Everywhere is Close to Somewhere Else,” takes him from the solitary world of the singer/songwriter into that of indie-folk rock n’roll – and he’s got the band to get him there. 9 songs explore a decade of life on the move, in the search for that elusive place to call home. Through his wanderings up and down the west coast, and traversing the continent, one thing became abundantly clear – as Jon Kabat-Zinn said, “Everywhere you go, there you are.” These songs have been a way to parse and explore the existential angst of the last ten years, and shine a light on what he is starting to understand – that home is not a place outside of oneself.

Colin Andrews (Wild Blue Morning) is a fresh take on Folk music in the truest sense of the word, integrating cavalier and irreverent commentary on the state of the world alongside lyrical and melodic content that will break your heart. A truly poetic and romantic undertaking, Wild Blue Morning is reminiscent of surly midcentury troubadours mixing sardonic wit and a tender innocent heart full of hope that things could get better. Within a few moments of him playing on stage, rooms go silent so they can really listen to a vestige of an age gone by, shining light on the troubles of this world and the way they trouble us all.
