Do you struggle with pests in your garden and want to know how to manage them using different strategies that are the least harmful? Join Rachel for a presentation on different ways to manage garden pests, while giving attention to beneficial organisms. She will discuss correct identification of the pest, increasing beneficial habitat, companion planting, and using different timing and plant variety strategies for a healthy, diverse garden landscape.
Flower Sale: To increase the beneficial habitat in your own garden, there will be a flower sale after the presentation. Please bring cash or Venmo.
Rachel comes from a lifetime of loving the garden from her experience on her family’s small farm growing up, a degree in agricultural entomology, work as a community based educator in gardening and farming, as well as the almost half acre garden that she maintains now. Rachel comes with a varied interest in plants from their medicinal uses, healthy and nutritious foods, and even the encouragement of beneficial insects to manage pests in the garden.
