Join the Beard and Banjo Revue for an evening of contra dancing at Trout Lake Hall. You don’t need to have any experience with contra dancing, square dancing, or any Americana folk dancing to join in the fun! Sue Baker will be guiding you with clear, concise teaching. Her good-natured, easy-going style makes contra dancing enjoyable and accessible for all.

Contra dance is very similar to Square dance but Contra dance is done in lines rather than in a 4-couple square. Many of the terms are the same in both Contra and Square dancing, so if you know any square dance terms from days gone by, you’re already halfway there!

Live music for the dance will be provided by Beard and Banjo Revue! The Revue includes Linda Robinson on fiddle, Sally Peters on guitar, Stephanie O’Connor on accordion, Jason Harris on bass, and Tony Fuentes, aka Beard and Banjo, on banjo.
