DAMIEN JURADO
Performing his 2010 ninth record, Saint Bartlett. This record, released by Secretly Canadian, was the first of 4 records that Damien had collaborated with the late PNW indie luminary Richard Swift (The Shins, The Black Keys, Nathaniel Rateliff). Pitchfork said in it’s review upon release, “Produced by the increasingly ubiquitous Richard Swift, Saint Bartlett, Jurado’s ninth record is, finally, a striking departure” and
“The songs on Saint Bartlett would be considered an achievement for any artist– but the fact that they come 13 years into a career makes the album even more of a triumph”. Now 15 years old, Saint Bartlett stands as a landmark in the Indie Folk genre that gets better and better every time you listen to it.
