The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association Presents
Jazz Collective Big Band’s Winter Dance
Friday, November 22, 7:00 PM
Hood River Elks Lodge, 304 Cascade Avenue
Returning to the Hood River Elks Lodge for what has become a holiday tradition, CGOA’s Jazz Collective Big Band presents an evening of danceable jazz and holiday favorites arranged with a touch of swing.
Formed in 2015, The Jazz Collective began presenting swing dances in 2018, popular with local swing dancers around the Gorge. Of course, people can come and enjoy the music without dancing.
The Jazz Collective, under the direction of Michael Paul, will play audience favorites like Bandstand Boogie, A String of Pearls, Cold Duck Time and One O’Clock Jump. With the holidays just around the corner, the band will also feature popular songs like Sleigh Ride and Jingle Bells, all done up in big band style.
Tickets are $10 at the door or online. Students are free (high school and college students show ID at door). For more information about the event or to purchase tickets, please visit gorgeorchestra.org.
