Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association presents Jazz Collective Big Band Bootleg Beats and All That Jazz
The Jazz Collective Big Band is set to deliver a vibrant tribute to the pioneers of American jazz with their upcoming performance, “Bootleg Beats & All That Jazz,” on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 7 PM. The event will take place at the Gorge Pavilion, located at 395 SW Portage Rd, Cascade Locks.This lively and tuneful salute to the early days of jazz, the concert will feature the music of legendary artists such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and King Oliver, among others. Attendees can expect an evening filled with the infectious rhythms and melodies that defined the formative years of this uniquely American art form.
The Jazz Collective Big Band, known for their dynamic performances and authentic renditions of classic jazz pieces, aims to transport the audience back to the roaring twenties and beyond. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for CGOA members and free for students/ youth (high school and college students show ID at the door.)
