The 4th annual Music Festival of the Gorge on Saturday, September 15th, is a free, family-friendly concert series at the Hood River Waterfront Park, benefitting music programs in Hood River area schools. Music Festival of the Gorge is a fundraiser to support school music programs in the Hood River District, in partnership with the Matt Klee Scholarship Fund and Arts in Education of the Gorge.
Each year we feature a fresh lineup of Portland-Gorge area bands, covering an array of musical genres, beginning at 12:00 PM. Portland-based soul-rock band Dirty Revival will headline the main stage at the Waterfront Park from 8:00-10:00 PM, and after-hours music will continue 10:00 PM-12:00 AM at Volcanic Bottle Shoppe, Trillium Café, and Slopeswell Cidery.
Food and beverages from Big Man Rotisserie and Empanadas Maria Elba will be available for purchase at the waterfront. There will also be kid-friendly activities hosted by Arts in Education of the Gorge, so bring your friends and family and enjoy an afternoon of free musical entertainment in the heart of the Gorge.
New this year, we kick off the event at 6:00 PM the evening of Friday, September 14th at Kickstand Coffee and Kitchen with a headline performance by Tony Smiley. We’ll continue the evening with more live music offerings at Double Mountain and River City Saloon.
