The first talk in ONDA’s 2021 High Desert Speaker Series features Warm Springs Paiute spiritual leader and oral historian Wilson Wewa and photographer and filmmaker Jason Houston.
After a showing of their short film “The Owyhee Project” (working title), Wilson, Jason and ONDA’s Campaign Manager Corie Harlan will discuss Oregon’s uniquely remarkable Owyhee Canyonlands, the role of storytelling in conservation, and the hope offered by protected wild places.

Registration for this online event is free and required and includes an entry for a prize package giveaway.

Special thanks to event sponsor First Interstate Bank!

And, thanks to MiiR, Osprey Packs, Backporch Coffee Roasters, Dudley’s Bookshop Cafe and Patagonia Bend for donating fantastic giveaway prizes.
