Our soil is the foundation and the key to having a productive backyard garden. Learn more in this hands-on class about soil physical, chemical, biological properties, and what you can do on a backyard scale to improve your soils. Class taught by Rebecca Thistlewaite.
March 10th @ 6:15pm Seeds and transplants
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to select different produce varieties that are best suited to our region, how to direct seed into soil, or start your own transplants. Everyone will go home with at least a 6 pack of seeded transplants. Class taught by Laura Bazzetta.
March 17th @ 6:15pm Bugs and water
Knowing how to prevent and manage pests organically is critical to producing vibrant crops. Learn about simple strategies for keeping pests away or in balance. We will also discuss some systems and tricks for irrigating your garden. Class taught by Rebecca Thistlewaite.
