A brilliant opportunity to introduce you to a virtual walking tour to one of the creepiest places on Earth, the Stanley Hotel. It is the same hotel that inspired the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s novel The Shining, reports Dread Central. The story of the Stanley Hotel began in 1903 when Yankee founder Freelan Oscar Stanley came to the valley in Estes Park, Colorado. When he arrived, he was severely underweight and weak since he was suffering from consumption. What he didn’t realize is that after spending just one season in the valley, his health became much better and he promised himself to return to this place every summer for the rest of his life.
