Mindful Parenting in the Digital Age, a Mt. Adams Institute Community Workshop: Ah, the Digital Age! Yes, our electronic devices are amazingly useful and intriguing and fun. However, our children’s development and family bonding can be at risk if we aren’t mindful about how we engage with our ever-present devices.
There is no one solution or right way to address this ubiquitous modern dilemma. The ramifications of our modern relationship to technology are just beginning to emerge, but we can certainly feel that they are impacting our lives and relationships. Taking time to ponder these complex questions can establish the foundation of mindful parenting around what is one of the important issues of our time.
Please join Kathy Keller Jones and other Gorge families to explore these important topics.
You can find out more about Kathy’s work by contacting her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Kathy has an MA in Developmental Psychology, 20 years as a K-8th grade school Counselor/Child Development Specialist, and a decade as a parenting consultant including co-authoring three parenting books.
The cost for the workshop is $20 per person and $30 per couple. Proceeds go towards Cascade Mountain School scholarships.
