Little bit about the artist:
Mother Pearl embodies the spirit of your favorite Lillith Fair ladies. Conveying the secrets of secrets through poetry and lyrics, she writes about pain and love and loss and her relationship to those things. Her music career started in New Orleans, where she played dive bars and other dark venues. Her musical studies centered around jazz, her academic studies around philosophy. Shortly after graduating, she moved back home to Los Angeles and signed to Ross Golan (Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez), at Warner/ Chappell. She began ghost writing for other artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Gryffin.
Around two years into her time working in LA, she decided she wanted to pursuer her artistry. Determined to make the music she wanted to hear in the world, she began crafting emotional, outspoken, broody songs, where she could openly say the things she things, sees, and feels. She dug through old voice memos of ideas she’d secretly stowed away for herself, and with the help of some friends, turned them into records.
Mother Peal currently lives in Los Angeles and recently released her first single “Father Figures”. Her debut EP is dropping in the fall of 2019.
