Join Julie Beeler, instructor at PNCA and OCAC, at her Trout Lake studio and flower farm, Bloom & Dye. We will harvest farm fresh flowers to create bright bold accent colors and spend our time dyeing a linen table runner using large quantities of flowers for a rich color palette. Everyone will learn the science between different plants ‘tinctoria’ and experience the bounty of natural dyes. We will play with different Japanese shibori techniques to create design patterns and you will bring home a beautifully hand-dyed linen table runner.
No previous experience with natural dyes, eco printing or textiles is necessary. Open to adults of all ages and young people 12 and up accompanied by an adult.
The cost for the workshop is $60 (Includes $10 material fee and $50 donation). All proceeds from our Community Workshops go towards scholarships for our Cascade Mountain School program.
