The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Design and Tech
July 29-August 1, 1-4pm & August 2, 9am-4pm (break from 12pm-1pm)
Instructed by Sullivan Mackintosh
Ages: 12+ (Completed 6th Grade & Up)
Lights, sound, set, costumes, props—a lot goes into helping actors look great on stage! Participants will learn how to use design elements to tell a story and navigate the practicalities of putting it all together. With an emphasis on collaboration and creative problem-solving, students in this hands-on workshop will design and create everything needed to bring The Wonderful Wizard of Oz story to life, then “perform” as the tech crew for the public performance at the end of camp.
Please note students must have completed 6th grade to attend. Students will perform for the community on August 2 at 2pm in the Theatre!
Space is limited to 8 students (minimum 4); register early! Contact the artist with questions here.
Please note that snacks will NOT be provided by Columbia Arts or the Instructor for this series. Parents are welcome to send students with non-refrigerated food and drink for this three-hour workshop.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
