Summer Arts: Surreal Landscape Dioramas

Loading Events

July 23-26, 9am-Noon, Instructed by Rene Allene Westbrook, Ages: 8-12 years, Cost: $80

Surrealism is an art and cultural movement that began in the early 1920 – it was a way for artists to recreate strange invented places from dreams, stories, and their imagination. Collage is a fun way to create strange otherworldly places and crazy visual story lines. After looking at classic examples of this compelling art movement, kids will use vintage and contemporary magazines and other printed material to create several collages, which will be arranged to create 3D dioramas.

Space is limited to 12 students.

Please note that snacks will NOT be provided for this three-hour workshop. Parents are welcome to send students with non-refrigerated food and drink for snacks.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
