July 9-12, 9am-3pm, Instructed by Rene Allene Westbrook, Ages: 8-12 years, Cost: $120
Working as a creative team, kids will establish a theme for an in-Center installation project using parameters including number of participants, the installation space and materials on-hand. Students will explore a variety of materials and processes including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, using alternative materials such as cardboard and found objects for large-scale construction.
This project will stress collaboration and fun and will culminate in an opening hosted by the artists. All students will have opportunity to work collaboratively as well as create their own individual installation component, which they’ll take home after the installation exhibit.
Space is limited to 12 students.
Please note that students will stay onsite through lunch break and must bring a lunch. Snacks WILL be provided for this six-hour workshop. Parents are welcome to send students with non-refrigerated food and drink for lunch.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
