Surrealism is an art and cultural movement that began in the early 1920—it was a way for artists to recreate strange invented places from dreams, stories, and their imagination. Collage is a fun way to create strange otherworldly places and crazy creatures. After looking at classic examples of this compelling art movement, kids will use vintage and contemporary magazines and other printed material to create several collages in this fun workshop.
Space is limited to 12 students (minimum 6); register early!
Please note that snacks will NOT be provided by Columbia Arts or the Instructor for this series. Parents are welcome to send students with non-refrigerated food and drink for this three-hour workshop.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
