Do you have questions about city rules and regulations? Do you wonder about things like zoning, but are afraid to ask what it is? Do you just want to hang out with Livable Hood River members and talk about life in Hood River?

Then join us for LIVABLE LISTENS!
This time we’re gonna take a closer look at the effects tourism has on our area, and what can be done for our town, residents and infrastructure systems to extract necessary additional revenue from visitors and to protect the quality of life for our year-round residents. Though there isn’t a lot of LOCAL data collected on this topics, below are some links with additional data produced from outside sources. It’s important to understand how this data is collected and applied, which determines how accurate it REALLY is.

Once a month (we try, anyway!), members of the Livable Hood River team will be hanging out somewhere in town where you can meet up to let us know what you’re interested in locally, get answers to questions or help finding information that eludes you.

Our goal as an organization is to provide Hood River residents with information and education to help you participate fully in your local government and be an active part of the future of our city, even if you can’t regularly attend meetings or volunteer for events.

We will pick a topic for each meeting, just to guide the conversation, but don’t have to stick to it. So come, grab a seat and let us know what you’re thinking!
