In mounting this exhibition, Columbia Arts encourages submission of cubist, figurative abstraction, surrealist abstraction, geometric abstraction, and abstract impressionist work. We are seeking work where the qualities of design and form take importance over and above the depiction of an object, a scene, or a narrative thread. Art pieces may contain and express objects, scenes, or a narrative theme; however, the non-pictorial must dominate, become ambiguous, and must be subject to multiple interpretations. The object is not a work depicting a thing, but instead a thing in itself.
April’s exhibition will feature the following artists:
Nancy Houfek Brown
Leslie Ebert will be our featured artist in the Gallery show, and Cheryl H. Hahn will have a solo show in the lobby.
