Brassicas and Beer, a continuing education summer series of casual and informative garden related presentations, will be offered by Oregon State University Central Gorge Master Gardeners. All events are free and will be held on the second Wednesday of the month, May through September, 2018 at 6 PM. The host location for Brassicas and Beer is Volcanic Bottle Shop, 1410 12th Street, Hood River, Ore. where your favorite beverage will be available for purchase. Questions at each of these presentations are welcomed and encouraged.

Wednesday, June 13, 2018; OSU Extension Master Gardener Education Program Assistant, Michelle Sager will offer a presentation about Permaculture. The development of sustainable and self sufficient gardening ecosystems.
Wednesday, July 11, 2018; Mater Gardener, Jen Harty will speak about Gardening for Pollinators, discussing the best plants for attracting pollinators to your garden.
Wednesday, August 8, 2018; former Master Gardener, Christine Bluestone will address Seed Saving, showing proper techniques of saving and storing your seeds for use next season.
Wednesday, September 12, 2018; Small Farmer, Ben Saur will talk about Season Extension and explain various ways to extend your gardening season through the fall and perhaps, even into the winter.
