Pianists: Molly Wheeler and Rhonda Rizzo
The Rizzo/Wheeler Piano Duo performs 4-hand and 2-piano works, specializing in music that embraces classical, jazz, and dance forms. They first appeared together at the Ernest Bloch Festival’s Two-Piano Institute in June 2003 and since then have performed together throughout the Northwest, including Portland’s Aladdin Theatre, Newport Performing Arts Series, Sherman & Clay Concert Series—Seattle, Bloedel Reserve Concert Series—Bainbridge Island, WA, Skamania Performing Arts Foundation Guest Artist Series, the Water Music Festival, and were featured guest artists on Pacific University’s “Jazz Nite.” Their CD, 2 to Tango: Music for Piano Duet, was released in 2010.
